EverSage Advisors offers notary services by appointment only for individuals who need documents acknowledged, signatures witnessed, or oaths and affirmations administered.

We provide a professional, welcoming setting and help you understand what to bring so your appointment goes smoothly. Notarization verifies identity and completes the required notarial act; it does not establish that a document is legally valid or that its contents are accurate.

Preparing for Your Appointment

Bring acceptable identification

Bring your original driver’s license, passport, or government-issued identification card. Current identification is preferred. Rhode Island also permits certain identification expired within the previous three years. Contact us before booking if you have questions about your identification.

Bring the complete document

Complete all necessary information before your appointment, leaving the signature and notarial certificate sections for the appointment. We cannot draft your document or complete its substantive information for you.

* Wait to sign until your appointment *

Notarizations require you to sign in the notary’s presence. If you have already signed, contact us beforehand; an acknowledgment may still be possible.

Arrange for each required signer to attend

Each person whose signature requires notarization must appear personally before the notary and provide acceptable identification.

Know which notarization is required

If your document does not contain notarial instructions or a certificate, ask the document’s preparer or receiving organization which notarial act is needed. We cannot select the act for you.

* Confirm any witness requirements *

Some documents require additional witnesses. Contact us before your appointment to discuss arrangements. Witnesses are not provided, you must have your own witnesses with you at the time of the signing.

Understand the document and sign voluntarily

You must understand what you are signing and act willingly. A notarization may be declined if identity, willingness, understanding, or other required conditions cannot be established.

Scheduling and Fees

Please contact us with the document type, number of signers, and any witness requirements before booking. Fees will be disclosed before the notarization is performed.

In-person notary appointments take place in Rhode Island and are subject to availability.
